Information supplied directly

The site does not require a reader account. If a reader emails the editorial desk, the message can contain an email address, name, page URL and whatever text the sender chooses to include. Send only information needed for the correction or enquiry. Do not include casino passwords, payment details, identity documents, account numbers or private gambling records.

Email is retained only as needed to review the request, maintain a correction record, protect the site from abuse or meet legal obligations. Retention can also depend on the mailbox provider’s backup and security systems. A deletion request will be reviewed where applicable law gives that right and no overriding obligation requires retention.

Technical information

A hosting or security provider may process IP address, browser and device data, requested path, referring page, timestamp, response code and security signals. This data can be used to deliver pages, detect attacks, investigate errors, limit abuse and understand aggregate reliability. Wheels-out.com does not use those logs to create a player profile or decide gambling eligibility.

The current static interface does not store a cookie-notice choice, calculator input or menu state in the browser. Those controls work only in the active page session.

Third-party destinations

The /go route sends the browser to a partner destination. That destination can collect registration, device, payment, KYC and gambling activity data under its own policy. Wheels-out.com does not receive or control the partner account record merely because the click began here. Review the destination privacy notice before creating an account or making a payment.

Links to GambleAware and GamCare lead to independent support organisations. Their websites have separate privacy, cookie and contact practices. The same separation applies to provider and structured-data source links.

Legal bases and rights

Where GDPR or similar law applies, processing may rely on consent, legitimate interests, contract steps requested by the sender or legal obligations. Legitimate interests include site security, correction handling and service reliability. A reader may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing, and may be able to complain to a local data protection authority.

A rights request should identify the email address used and the relevant interaction without sending more identity data than necessary. The editorial desk may need proportionate verification before releasing or deleting information so that one person cannot obtain another person’s correspondence.

Children and gambling content

The site is for adults of legal gambling age and is not directed to children. The editorial desk does not knowingly seek children’s data. If a parent or guardian believes a child sent personal information, contact the site with enough detail to locate the message.

Security and international processing

No website or email system can promise absolute security. Reasonable technical and organisational controls reduce risk, while readers also protect themselves by limiting what they send. Hosting, security and email providers may process data in more than one country with contractual or legal safeguards where required.

Policy changes

Material changes will update the visible date and should explain new collection, a new processor or a changed contact route. Continuing to use the public pages does not create a gambling account or transfer operator privacy obligations to Wheels-out.com.

Cookies and browser storage

The current static build does not set advertising cookies, load analytics trackers or store interface choices in local storage. Because there is no optional tracking to accept or reject, the site does not show a consent banner. If analytics, advertising or embedded third-party media are added later, consent requirements and this policy must be reviewed before those tools load.

External partner and support destinations have their own storage and privacy practices. Opening one of those sites does not create an operator account on Wheels-out.com.

Do Not Track and automated signals

Browser privacy signals are evolving and can have different legal effects. The static launch site does not use cross-site advertising profiles, so there is no behavioural-advertising preference to switch off here. Third-party destinations may respond differently and should explain their own practice.

Correction records and source submissions

A correction email can be retained with the editorial decision so the site can explain why a claim changed. Public pages normally describe the source, not the sender’s private identity. If a source submission contains copyrighted or confidential material, the sender must have authority to share it and should mark any publication restrictions clearly.

Privacy questions can be sent to [email protected] with “Privacy” in the subject. State the type of request, relevant email address and approximate date. Do not attach identity documents unless the editorial desk explains a necessary, proportionate verification method.

Data minimisation in practice

A useful correction normally needs a URL, disputed sentence, replacement fact, source and date. It does not need a passport, gambling account history or financial statement. The contact form therefore asks for a subject and message only and opens the reader’s own mail client rather than transmitting data to a hidden form service.

If future site functionality adds analytics, newsletter signup or a hosted contact form, the project must document the provider, purpose, retention, legal basis and consent behaviour before launch. The policy should describe actual processing, not a generic list of technologies the site might use.

Regular reviews should confirm that published wording still matches the deployed code and active service providers.
